Walnut has an extremely high color variation, with everything from green to purple shades possible in the wood. Steaming the wood helps to even out those color variations; Steller offers both steamed and unsteamed options. Either way, it’s a high-end product that brings a rich, classy feeling to any space.

Walnut is one of the least durable flooring options we offer, and we definitely recommend it for socks-only areas like dens and offices — places that do not receive a lot of foot traffic and do not have a lot of furniture moving around on top of the wood. In the right places, though, walnut can add a feeling of coziness that’s hard to get from other wood varieties.

Each solid walnut plank is ¾ inches thick, 5 inches wide, and between 2 and 4 feet long. The wood is sourced using the highest quality lumber from Pennsylvania and New York.

Walnut Clear - Steamed

Natural walnut that’s steamed to add color depth and consistency and finished with clear, satin polyurethane for a look that’s steeped in luxury for low-traffic rooms.

Walnut Clear - Unsteamed

Walnut unsteamed hardwood floor with a clear stain

Natural, unsteamed walnut has a beautiful range of colors from purple to green, making for a very unique, high-end look in that special low-traffic room.
